I messed around with making a torque tube myself a month ago and decided to just buy the correct item from the professionals. It's easier to crank out a number of units if tooling is made to facilitate operation changes than it is to make only one by hand the old fashioned way. But since several people have expressed a desire to have one, he has been working on a jig to stream line making them since there are several machines and tooling changes involved. I also asked for an update on my order for a Caruso head, now unfilled for over a year (no money exchanged though - I am still inline).
